WELLNESS AT THREE
Project 1 - Mental Health Strategy

It was my role to launch Three's mental health awareness, education and support programme. The aim was to start talking more openly about mental health at work and help people realise that it's OK not to be OK.

I wanted to do this in a sincere and real way and make talking about mental health normal and importantly, relatable.
7 people from around the business, including 2 board members came forward with different experiences around mental health, and I supported them in telling their stories. I helped each of them write an article and talk about their experiences on camera by listening, building rapport and earning their trust. I scripted (using their words) and directed a video that was shown to everyone that works at Three.
The results were phenomenal. The stories had thousands of views, likes, and comments. It sparked real engagement where people were interacting on a personal level with each other and also with our leaders.
Crucially, other people in the business went on to talk about their stories, further removing the stigma of discussing mental health in the workplace and in general.

Project 2 - Wellness Week at Three
Three took a pioneering approach to Wellness which meant I could always try something new. It was decided we would launch a Wellness Week - a whole week dedicated to all things wellness. For me, it was a massive challenge as I had to work out what wellness meant to many to get high participation and engagement.

Ultimately, I decided to link all the activities to our company purpose - Free the fun. Everything was going to feel fun and exciting - something for everyone.
I devised a whole plan of engagement activities for the week consistently playing these ideas back to senior stakeholders. Once agreed, I organised, planned and wrote communications for each of these activities including healthy snack boxes delivered to every office, store and to the homes of every independent employee, a virtual step challenge using an app called "Walk the World" where people could win holidays once we reached destinations, the launch of the new Employee Assistance Programme, an exclusive Jack Whitehall gig (who cancelled and then did it another day - but that's a different story!), execution of a wellness fund where people could request money to support their wellbeing and a day where everyone wore green to show their support on World Mental Health day.
It was a week that was inclusive and inspired people to think differently about wellness. Employee participation and engagement were high and people could really see the benefits of wellness.
